Summary description: Field staff members are on the front lines of the HLIC mission: to serve and mobilize the Church to live out God’s heart for the poor and fulfill the Great Commission. Our service to churches and missions includes after-school programs for children, evangelism training, job-readiness and life-skills training, youth entrepreneurship, etc. This position could be filled by an Intern.
Qualifications and Skills Needed: Strong relational skills; compassion for the needy and concern for justice issues; spiritually mature; CCC ministry skills and experience helpful; self-starter; affinity for children helpful; energetic; team player; aspires to modest lifestyle.

Summary description: All our city teams need administratively gifted people to organize and help the city teams reach out more effectively in compassionate ministry to the inner-city poor. If you have a heart for the needy and prefer an office-based position, this may be an ideal role for you. This position could be filled by an Intern.

ability to patiently train others; concern for the poor; servant heart, willing to work behind-the-scenes; financial savvy a plus.

Summary description: The Recruiting Coordinator would develop a plan to promote HLIC among prospective pools of desired staff applicants (ethnic campuses, social work venues, job fairs) creatively testing and working the plan as it develops. HLIC has not had a recruiting coordinator, so this person would be creating the role rather than stepping into a pre-set job description.
Qualifications and Skills Needed: Vision for inner-city ministry and the ability to communicate it; strategic thinker; enthusiastic; insightful about strengths in others; faith; organized; self-starter with little need for supervision; willing to travel; team player; computer skills (PeopleSoft 8); Campus Crusade for Christ experience essential.

Summary description: A Development Rep has the privilege of seeing the great things God is doing among the poor of America’s inner cities and then engaging people with resources to invest in the expanding vision. He/she would be working alongside two seasoned development staff men as part of HLIC’s national team.
Qualifications and Skills Needed: Relates warmly to people; good storyteller; ability to communicating vision, faith, and HLIC mission; organized; conversational, letter-writing, and phone skills; flexibility to travel; not intimidated by wealth; comfortable challenging people to be financial partners; computer knowledge (to learn/use Goldmine); solid spiritual walk.
Scope: Caseload of major donors and a geographic area of the U.S.
